Direct acting actuators open the valves to allow line fluid to flow in the event of failure of air or hydraulic pressure to the actuator. Normal Use: When the valves are normally in open position.		Reverse acting actuators close the valves against line pressure in the event of failure of air or hydraulic pressure to the actuator. Normal Use: When the valves are normally in close position.


	Double acting actuators either open or close the valve. Normal Use: When fail safe mode are not needed.
